10 Steps to Deleting Your Debt

  1. Gather all the information you can on your current debt, loans (contact info of lender, interest rate, outstanding balance etc)
  2. What small debts could you attempt to pay off sooner? (use the software to see what an extra money using the snowball method will do)
  3. How much extra cash flow would you have each month if you paid off some of the debts you have highlighted?
  4. What is your game plan for paying this debt off quicker?
  5. Look at your most recent credit report to make sure there are not any debts you are not aware of or missing, and to make sure that there aren’t any debts that should be disputed or removed.
  6. Call your credit company and ask for an interest rate reduction.
  7. Be patient and positive and keep the end result in mind.
  8. Remember your purpose and envision yourself debt free.
  9. Be willing to make some sacrifices.
