Tier 2 Checklist

Step 1: Check Your D&B Credit Report

Unless you’ve been declined 4-5 times in a row from different vendors, declined credit applications at Tier 2 are not a big deal – just apply to another. If you keep getting declined, there’s probably a reason behind it. When in doubt, just pick up the phone and ask them whatever you need to know. Lending policies change, so it’s smart to confirm the details before blindly applying.
Step 3: Update the Business Credit Mastery Tracker
The Tier Tracking sheet must be updated every time you are submitting an application. Indicate the status, and update the login details in the login sheet.
Step 4: Attend Live Q&A Sessions
You can attend every second Tuesday of the month from 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM and every fourth Thursday from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM EST.

Hello, and welcome to this module, the tier two account blueprint. So at this point we have already established our tier one accounts has been at least 60 days, and now we’re getting ready to take action with our tier two accounts. Now, do not attempt to complete this module if it has not been 60 days with on time payment history with your tier one accounts, if you do that is you’re doing so at your own risk because you’re not following the system. The other thing I’ve done is I’ve made this time as well. So you really can’t do it even if you want it to, but just in case, somehow you’re trying to buck the system and not listen. And it’s been a week since you applied for your tier one accounts. And now you’re trying to do tier two because you want to supersede the process.
Don’t do that, you’re gonna blow, you’re gonna mess up your process. Okay. So here’s what we’re going to cover. Number one, the tier two account blueprint, and then the tier two vendor list in this particular module. So what is a tier two account blueprint? So now that your company has at least a business credit score with three or more, reporting, ideally five net, 30 tradelines reporting to your Dun and Bradstreet, Experian and potentially Equifax. The second tier of credit is basic retail store credit. And it’s going to take the form very similar to the net 30 accounts, but they’re going to be net 30 accounts with stricter guidelines and preferably introductory revolving lines of credit. So the goal of this module is to obtain at least three to five basic retail cards and the credit limits don’t necessarily matter. And they’re likely to be low.
What I’m doing is getting you to get your company ready for the credit card game or that cash credit later on down the road. So this is a stepping stone essentially. So the one we want to file with, number one is going to be, and I’m going to put this list below again, just like we’ve done in the previous modules. So you have Staples, which is a solid card to apply with. And then again, do not include your social security number here. Dun and Bradstreet. So Dun and Bradstreet Experian, Equifax, or Lowe’s is another one. So Lowe’s is kind of tricky because they have Lowe’s business credit cards. And then they’ll ask for your social security number, but you don’t have to provide your social security number. And if they provide your social security number, then you’re good.
Now, essentially if you apply for the business loans advantage card, this is likely to be a credit card, but it will need to be paid off each month. So essentially this business advantage card works very similar to a, like an American express card. And you’ll eventually allow you to obtain a business credit card from American express that has revolving credit, but essentially this is going to be like a net term, terms account. Do not apply for the ones that are going to require a social security card. Okay. Only apply for the one that’s going to give you the business: it’s the Lowe’s business advantage card. Okay. AutoZone has one as well. They’re going to report to Dun & Bradstreet and Experian.
And you’ll want to download the PDF application, email it to AutoZone pro support team that handles all business net accounts. You’ll receive an email call or a text letting you know that you’ve been approved, log in and make your purchase, and then just click on the net 30 at the checkout. All right. Here’s another one, ABC supply co they’re going to actually report to all three bureaus Dun & Bradstreet, Experian and Equifax. You’ll also have to download a credit application, fill it out on the PDF, email it back to the support team. And then just like AutoZone, you’ll receive an email letting you know that you’ve been approved. Okay. And then once you have been approved, you’ll need to log in to make your purchase. And that’s another thing just because you’ve been approved, you have to get approved first and in some of these scenarios, they make your purchase unlike the tier one accounts. Choose to bill me later at checkout, they make sure you pay within 30 days, budget, is another one. And they’re going to report to Dun & Bradstreet and Equifax. You’ll want to fill out the application form, submit, receive an email call, text, letting you know that you’ve been approved, log-in makes your purchase, and then you’ll need to do net 30 at checkout. Okay.
So what I’m going to do is include this list of people. I mean, this list of vendors right below this video, along with the list of all the accounts that are tier two accounts that you can use as well. And again, our whole goal when we’re doing these tier two accounts is to make sure we do not use our personal social security number at this point, because we don’t need to do that. Should you decide to use your personal social security number, what you’re doing is commingling your personal credit and your business credit, which is the, which is not what we want to do at this stage. Okay. So take action, open up these accounts, and then right below, you’ll see the other lists of those tier two accounts, very similar to tier one accounts that you can look into as well. But again, we only need, we only need at least three to five of these reports with tier two vendors.
