4. Get An 800 Number

Hello and welcome to this module, get an 800 number. So this is going to be really, really pivotal because again like I said before, we want to give the appearance of a large corporation. So here’s what we’re going to cover. I’m going to show you really quickly, how are you going to 800 number for less than $10. And the reason why we want to do this is when we’re looking at these 800 numbers, we want to have a dedicated business service, telephone line for the commercial address registered in our company’s name. So remember, we’ve already gotten a commercial address. So what we want to do is link these things up so that way we can give that appearance and have that structure in place. Now, the other thing, we don’t want this to be a VOIP, Skype, Google Voice, Other Virtual Line, Cellphone, Homephone, Residential line, or a number of someone else’s business.

We want to get our own 800 number. Okay? Our own 800 number. And it’s really, really simple. So you can go to a website called NumberBarn. It’s one of the places that I suggest people go to. So NumberBarn is a cheap, one of the cheapest, fastest, and easiest ways to port a phone number from their service to any other service. And I’m going to cover this because for example, you know, if you have a provider like RingCentral or whoever. Let’s say RingCentral, Nextiva. I use JustCall. You can port that 800 number over to that phone service provider. And then every call that comes through, we’ll go through that particular service. And then, you can set up like a voicemail system and a what’s called a calling tree. Now what you’ll want to do is make sure that when you’re going through this every 800 number from this particular provider is going to have an asterisk beside it.

And it’s a wildcard search term. So it was allowing you to figure out, okay, what do you want your numbers to be given based that based off that particular slot, and what we want to do is make sure we have an 800 number. So the other thing is once we have 800 number, we want to set up a voicemail. We want it to be professional. So, in the next video, I’ll cover exactly how to set up the wheat, how to set this up and have a professional voicemail. But the point is, is that we want to make sure that when someone calls, because the Bureau’s gonna more than likely going to be calling to verify your company, it has a professional sound. Hey, look, “Thank you for calling your company’s name. Our staff is currently busy, assisting other customers. Please leave a message and your call will be promptly returned.”

So something simple like that, but again, once we set the 800 number up, we want to make sure that people can get through. And then also, what we want to do is make sure that we have a 401 directory listing, which I’m going to show you exactly that I do later on in this particular training. So as we wrap up here, you know, all large companies have 800 numbers. So really quickly, I’m going to show you this. So there’s two options here. You can use NumberBarn and there’s, they’re saying that they have 46 million numbers available. So if you want them to buy a number, you can do local or toll free. You can just do 800. And let’s just say you wanted to do an 800 number. You could just find one, you’re going to sit, find a new number, nice and easy, or just type in what you want your number to be.

And it’s going to search all the 800 numbers available for you for that one. So you can just go ahead and pick this one, and it’s showing you different options that you can go here. So if you wanted to just get the phone number you can, and then they’re saying they have like a monthly, a monthly charge, which is hourly. Wouldn’t do this. I would just get the actual 800 number. Another option you can go to is FreedomVoice. So this is the one that I’ve, I’ve used this one for years. And if you want it to go right here, you can get like a cloud number, nice and easy, and you would just hit, choose a number and see pricing. And I think FreedomVoice is actually really cheap. So if you want to just to get just this 1 800 861, you get this.

And then I would say, you can start with either 400 minutes or 1200 minutes. And really all that means is if you’re getting an 800 number through them, if somebody calls, they’re going to charge you by the minute and it’s going to be for this amount. But again, fairly simple, you can knock this out. And then, and then also, if you don’t want to get, I’m going to also recommend that you get a local phone number for your business too. And the local phone number can be purchased from like a FreedomVoice as well. So if I wanted to come right here and hit. Actually not who is FreedomVoice, that’s the wrong one. What we would do is click on cloud number and choose a number of see pricing. We can do a local number as well, and then we can choose if we want to do the local number option, and then we can just go there.

So I want to hit back really quickly choose a number, cause it’s trying to keep me in that checkout process.But we just hit change and then we wanted to do a local number. We would just type in our local area code. So I’m 404. So if I wanted to get like my local landline here as well, I can do that. And you can literally have a local number and an 800 number at the same time. And you want to have both. Okay? So hope this video helps. I will see you in the next one.
