Hello, and welcome to this module, establishing a physical commercial address. So I’ve covered this before, but I’m gonna go over the basics here one more time, just so we’re on the same page. So essentially here’s what we’re going to cover. So the first thing I’m going to break down is why a business address matters. I’m also going to break down how to establish a physical commercial address and what steps to take in order to do so, things to remember when establishing a commercial address. So that way you don’t establish the wrong commercial address in this view, a certain kind of way and then you get red flagged from the Dun & Bradstreet or the credit bureaus. Now, if you’re a new business, which many of you guys are, or you already have an existing business, chances are, you may or may not have a commercial address.
So running a home-based business, I understand, is very simple and it’s easy. However, our goal is to make sure we would have a corporate credit profile so we can get the most funding. So everything you need to do is separating yourself as a person from your business. So the biggest reason why creditors don’t lend as much to home businesses, because they tend to be viewed as smaller companies, which is something I stated before, but I just want to reiterate this. They feel they don’t need that much credit. So simply saying that you are a, and having any commercial address, having that small little thing that small little a tidbit on your address will go a long way. When it comes to getting funding. Now, we want to, like I said, our business to look as big as possible or wanting to appear as big as possible.
So the credit bureaus and the lenders can see that are are, we are a legitimate business. So residential addresses, we want to stay away from like the plate. ideally we want to use either an industrial address or a commercially zoned address. So I’m not saying go out and get commercial ads space. And I’m not saying to go out and get an industrial space. But what I am saying is that there’s a way around being able to still have that type of address, but not necessarily have to pay for that price. So most credit bureaus and creditors are not going to accept PO boxes. I’ve already stressed the importance of not having using a PO box or a personal mailbox, but I just want to reiterate again, do not, absolutely do not use a PO box when it comes to your mailing for your, for your main corporate address.
So when we were establishing that commercial physical address, we need to have a physical address that we can receive mail at, even better if it’s zoned commercially or industrial used, as banks can see this info. And this happens to me. It has happened to me multiple times. So you want to make sure that the bank that you’re going to be doing business with can also verify and see that this is a commercial address. So a more, a regular commercial zoned address or office space is best and will result based off experience the highest credit approvals and a small commercial address can really just be a couple hundred dollars a month. So there’s a couple of options here, and I’ve shared this before. You can do a sharing office space, or you can rent a mailbox. So if you have a friend or family member who has an office address, reach out to them, have a conversation with them, let them know, Hey, look, I’m starting this business. I’m trying to separate my personal from my business. And I don’t yet have a commercial address. So is it okay if I use your particular address for my place of business, for credit building purposes? And then I just pick up the mail because I don’t want to have this information as public record to be, to be verified. I then also my consultant walk recommended because he’s gotten hundreds of thousands of dollars in commercial credit, then I need to have a commercial address, right? And then you can, and if you don’t have that, that’s not an option. You can use officespace.com or loopnet.com and you can go there and see if there’s some commercially address commercially zoned addresses in your area or in the area in which you incorporated your business in. So it’s really, really simple to do, and they can send the mail in some scenarios.
If you find a service, they can send the mail, view the mail and scan it to you. Also you can go to a business district, like I said before in your state, and to see if there’s anything available in that particular state. Now, when you’re looking at establishing a commercial address here, there are places like Anytimemailbox. So Anytimemailbox is a virtual mailbox option that’s going to give you in, depending upon the state in which you register it in, it’s going to give you that commercial address. Now, we want to make sure when we’re verifying that particular address, it does not have a personal mailbox in front of it because we don’t want that. So, like I was saying before, it’s as simple as calling and just verifying that, Hey, look, they do not, view this as a personal mailbox or put PMB in front of the actual address. Anytimemail, Anytimemailbox, like I’m saying has a mixture of both. So sometimes it can be PMB in front of it, and sometimes it’s going to be commercial or that commercially related, which is what we want. So when we’re looking at this, we don’t want that PMB in the front. So it doesn’t really matter what, which option you choose. You just want to choose one. So right below this video, I have provided a few links for you to go and look at this. Ao we have the commercial space right here. So you can take a look at officespaces.com. You can look at LoopNet and see if there’s any options in this area. In your particular area, you can go to Anytimemailbox and see if that is available in your city or where they are and this is going to have several locations. So really, really powerful. You can see service at more than 1,214. So it’s a strong chance that Anytimemailbox is more than likely going to be your best solution. When it comes to getting this mailbox set up, either way goes, you want to have a commercially, a commercial address on your particular business entity. Okay. So go ahead and get this knocked out and I’ll see you in the next step.
